We are looking for a Renewal Account Manager based in Bangalore, India, to take ownership of our SMB customer portfolio.
About the role
As a Renewal Account Manager, you will take true ownership of our SMB customer base in India, driving engagement, retention, and growth. Beyond renewals, you will be a proactive driver in our strategic commercial transition. You will actively drive and convert customers from traditional perpetual licenses to our new, high-value subscription-based platforms, taking the lead to closing these deals.
You will also serve as a key partner to our Senior Account Manager in the region, stepping in to support quotations and customer requests during peak and vacation periods. Given the SMB landscape in India, you will balance managing a higher volume of accounts while maintaining a deeply consultative sales approach.
Role evolution
This position is a perfect steppingstone for an inside sales professional looking to grow. As the volume of perpetual renewals naturally decreases, this role is expected to evolve into a full subscription sales Account Manager position over the next 12–18 months. This progression will be based on business needs, individual performance, and overall readiness.
What does success look like?
To thrive in this role and transition to a full Account Manager, your success will be measured by:
Maintaining high renewal rates and ensuring strong customer retention within your portfolio.
Progressively contributing to and building a strong subscription pipeline.
Successfully executing and converting perpetual license customers over to our subscription platform model.
Who are we looking for?
You are a great communicator who views every customer conversation as a strategic discovery opportunity, asking the discovery questions that reveal a customer’s real priorities and technical needs. Above all, you treat your role like it is your own business and can manage your own schedule without the need for micromanagement.
You take absolute, end-to-end ownership of the full sales cycle, meticulously ensuring no customer need or administrative details falls through the cracks. Moreover, you are a confident collaborator who is comfortable driving success independently on a local level while collaborating seamlessly across our international organization.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
Proven experience in customer-facing roles (at least 3 years of experience), with a focus on inside sales, proactive renewals, or junior account management.
Experience managing high-volume account portfolios while retaining a consultative B2B sales approach.
Experience working in an international or cross-cultural environment.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a results-oriented focus on meeting and exceeding commercial targets.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using CRM systems and data analytics tools to track performance and pipeline.
Background or familiarity with the embedded systems market (or adjacent fields like robotics, IoT, MedTech, or automotive) is advantageous but not strictly required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
